Why we built it
Finding a working online stream of a specific station — the morning DJ from Medellín, a chill jazz channel from Tokyo, your hometown news station — is harder than it should be. Big directory sites paywall, autoplay, demand signups, or quietly build advertiser profiles on you.
We wanted a radio directory that gets out of the way. So we built one.
How it works
Station data starts from Radio-Browser, the volunteer-curated public database of over 50,000 stations. We layer our own editorial work on top — written About sections in the station’s local language, accurate categories, fixed logos.
When you press play, your browser connects directly to the station’s stream server. We’re not in the middle. The audio is fast, the station’s analytics stay accurate, and we never see what you’re listening to.
What we care about
- Free, without strings. No premium tier, no paywall. Light advertising is optional via the cookie banner.
- Privacy by default. No Google Analytics, no fingerprinting, no tracking SDKs. If you don’t sign up, we keep nothing about you beyond a 30-day security log.
- No autoplay. The player only starts when you click play.
- Local feels local. Browse
/co/and the interface is in Spanish;/de/is German. Around 80 countries have native-language UI. - Accessibility-conscious. Keyboard navigable, screen-reader labeled, WCAG 2.2 AA contrast. Details on our Accessibility page.
