About Hunters Bay Radio
Hunters Bay Radio is a community station broadcasting at 88.7 FM from Huntsville, Ontario, in the heart of Muskoka cottage country. It operates under the call sign CKAR-FM and streams online at 128 kbps MP3, so you can catch it whether you’re on the lake or nowhere near one.
Community radio in a place like Huntsville means something specific. Muskoka is a seasonal region, and a station rooted there tends to reflect the rhythms of that kind of place, local news, local voices, programming that wouldn’t make sense on a Toronto drive-time feed. That’s the appeal. It’s not a national brand playing the same rotation everywhere.
You can listen live through the station’s website at muskokaradio.com. No subscription, no paywall, just press play.
